Rule Set: Deadlands
Starting Level: 6th
Races: Open to DM approval
Classes: Open to DM approval
Attributes: 84 point pool, distribute as you wish. No single stat can be above 18 before level, racial, or class bonuses.
Hitpoints: Ask the DM.
Scenario Notes: Fantastical western setting.

Hitpoints will be done in the Brandon method of rolling.

Races will technically be all human, however. The other D&D races might be allowable as templates for "different" humans (ie. Dwarf would actually be a very stout human, an Elf would be a lithe intelligent human, etc.) However, Halflings and Gnomes will take some persuasion. Not sure how to fit them in yet as I can't imagine midgets being nimble. Laughing

Okay, here's a little backstory for you guys to mull over while you build characters. You have been hired by Texas Marshal, Gabriel Argus, to investigate reports of "strange goin's on" in the town of Black Mesa, Arizona. You are a rag-tag group of hired specialists. As a sort of "mercenary" posse, you are told to not mention your financial affiliation with the Marshals. You are to investigate the reports and as a perk, there are rumors of treasure hidden near the town. What you find is yours...just find out if these reports are true.

Make whatever you want. Since you aren't formally connected to the Marshals, you can be whatever you feel like.

Okay, so we have a sharpshooter, an indian brave, (a potential scoutish person...Russ), I think Brandon said something about a crazy moonshiner mad scientist, random female that is irrelevant due to gender (hehe), aaaaaand Logan.

Is this correct?

I'm planning on playing a dual knife wielding brawler type. Someone good in close combat scrapping. Possibly able to grapple like a mo-fo.

OK, I was trying to put a Deadlands character together for Saturday, yet as it turns out I have an old edition. Does someone have a copy of the Deadlands D20 we are going to play that I can snag?
